Corrections Policy

How Foreign Founder reviews, documents, and responds to correction requests.

Last Updated: July 20, 2026

Commitment to Accuracy

Foreign Founder aims to publish useful, accurate educational information and to correct material errors when they are identified. Because laws, fees, product terms, and agency procedures change, accuracy also depends on maintaining source dates and clearly stating verification limits.

Types of Corrections

Corrections may address factual statements, calculations, source links, dates, descriptions of a product or government process, disclosures, or formatting that changes a reader's understanding.

Minor Corrections

Spelling, grammar, formatting, broken-link, and other changes that do not materially affect meaning may be fixed without a public correction note.

Material Corrections

A significant factual correction should update the article's lastUpdated date. When useful to prevent confusion, the article may also include a correction note explaining what changed. The appropriate treatment depends on the nature and impact of the error.

Date and Source Updates

Rechecking a source may update a verification date for the affected data. A source check is narrower than a legal, tax, or expert review of the complete article.

How Corrections Are Documented

Material changes may be documented through an updated date, a correction note in the relevant article, or both. Minor editorial changes may not receive an individual public log entry.

How to Report an Error

Submit a report through the Contact page. Please include the page URL, the statement or data you believe is incorrect, and any supporting primary source that may help us evaluate the issue.

Response and Review Process

We may compare the report with the cited page, current primary sources, related project data, and generated site output. We do not promise a fixed response time, and submitting a correction does not guarantee that we will accept the proposed change.

Limitations

A correction process cannot guarantee that every page is current or error-free. Readers should verify time-sensitive or consequential information with the responsible government agency, provider, and an appropriately qualified professional.
